Japanese experts visit the site for a week in order to 1) check the operations of energy consuming facilities based on ISO14404 and review the data related to energy consumption and 2) give feedback on operational improvements and suitable energy saving equipment from the perspective of TCL. In FY2022, the steel plant was audited through online. Actual results of audit by AJSI as of February 2022 are shown in the following figure. 

TCL is a list of Japan's excellent energy-saving, environmental conservation, and recycling technologies that are suitable for each country and region, created with experts from India and ASEAN. ASEAN version is available now. The advantages of using TCL are as follows.

The benefit of technology implementation is clearly demonstrated
Indicate CO2 reduction effect and payback time for the collaborative country or region, based on country-based energy prices, plant installation cost and CO2 emission factor.

Effects of the technologies are proven through Japanese steelmakers’ operating experiences.

TCL has been updated 4 times since 2014 based on the feedback at workshops and steel plant diagnosis. The latest TCL was published in March 2023.

On 14 February 2023, AJSI webinar was held as the activity of SteelEcosol in order to share with the ASEAN the latest policy and technology trends in Japanese steel industry, as well as the outline and progress of activity of SteelEcosol. Various forms of workshop/events for steel experts in both public and private sectors have been held since 2014.
