About the 2nd Indonesia-Japan Environmental Week

The 2nd Indonesia-Japan Environmental Week is a collaborative event designed to strengthen ties between Japan and Indonesia across a broad range of environmental and energy topics.

Through sessions covering areas such as clean energy, decarbonization, and environmental technology, the event brings together government and private sector stakeholders from both countries to share knowledge and deepen cooperation.

    CEFIA Biomass Flagship Seminar

As part of this event, the CEFIA Biomass Flagship Seminar will be held in-person in Jakarta on May 12, 2026. CEFIA — the Cleaner Energy Future Initiative for ASEAN — is a public-private platform proposed by Japan and endorsed by the ASEAN+3 Ministers on Energy in Bangkok in 2019, aimed at accelerating the deployment of cleaner energy and decarbonization technologies across the ASEAN region.

The seminar will feature discussions on practical approaches to biomass energy utilization, clean energy innovation, and pathways to achieving net-zero goals. In addition, exhibitors from Japan and ASEAN member countries will be on-site to showcase their latest technologies and solutions, making it a valuable opportunity for networking and business exchange.
